I am a full-time Realtor with 16 years of real estate experience in the NW suburbs of Illinois and the southern lakes region of Wisconsin and Lake Geneva. I am married with one child. My wife, Mary Jane, is a remarkable woman, and our son, Edward, who now lives and works in the city of Chicago, continues to give both of us much joy and laughter. I grew up in Tulsa, OK and began my career in the petroleum industry in Denver, CO. I have an undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame and a Master of Marketing at the University of Colorado in Denver. I married Mary Jane in 1995, moved her to Denver, but fulfilled a promise in 2000 to bring her to her hometown and sisters in Barrington, IL.
In 2009, I left the corporate world to begin my career in real estate after making a work/life balance decision which ultimately led me to follow my passion to assist others to achieve their personal and family goals and dreams.
Buying and owning a home is a very basic human need that goes back thousands of years. It’s both a very emotional decision, and in many cases, the largest financial decision that people make. It’s where you bring up your family, creating lasting memories that are life giving. A large part of your identity is tied up in the emotional side of owning a home. Your financial well-being should also be carefully considered.
These things put an enormous responsibility on the providers of services associated with buying, selling and owning a home. With over 47 years’ experience in financial analysis, negotiation, customer service and marketing, I firmly believe I’ve been given a gift and obligation to use my diverse experience to assist my clients when evaluating if a transaction is truly in their best interests.
My diverse experience enables me to provide sound financial advice whether to first timers, move-up buyers, empty nesters, transitioning seniors or investors. As my client, you will receive my undivided attention, whether finding that perfect new home or selling your current home. I am dedicated, responsive and will always listen intently to your concerns, goals and needs. These soft skills translate into creating and implementing efficient, focused home searches and strategic and compelling selling/marketing programs. I will always put your needs first.
In my spare time, I enjoy tennis, golf, cycling and taking walks with Mary Jane and our terries, Stella and Finnegan. I am an active volunteer with St. Anne Catholic Community in Barrington as a Catechist and Minister of Care and am involved with my alma mater as Alumni President, University of Notre Dame Class of 1988 and as a board member of the Notre Dame Club of Lake County.
